Where to record a Virtual Gala? Depending on your budget there are several options.

Are you going to have a Virtual Gala/Fundraiser and not sure where you should record it? Depending on your budget, and goals there are so many options out there. Your Rocktioneer™ has a few ideas here to share with you.

Your Virtual Gala/Fundraiser is more than just the one-night event. This is a video that will live through time and continue to reach the eyes of new supporters and potential donors. That being said, you want to be sure this time capsule represents your organization as best as possible.

In a Professional Studio:

If you have the budget, producing your event in a professional studio provides you with 3 advantages; the high-tech equipment from cameras to teleprompters, expertise for live streaming, and a professional director/producer for the broadcast.

One we recommend here in Atlanta is Encylomedia.

At a Venue:

With the music industry shut down for the most part, there are a lot of venues left empty which make for a great backdrop to host your event’s stream. Consider the benefits of venues like LiveNation’s House Of Blues, where they have multiple camera angles available, lots of room for sponsorship logos, etc.

At a Restaurant/Hotel Ballroom:

Perhaps the restaurant that has been a past sponsor has a private dining room they aren’t currently using due to COVID. Not only would this be a nice location to record, but also provide the restaurant with some much needed marketing.

Another option is the hotel ballroom you had booked. They aren’t using the space and may be interested in the opportunity to show it off to others in this time!

At a Church/Place of Worship:

Many places of worship have pivoted to streaming their services. This is a great opportunity for those with a tighter budget as they have both the setup and equipment and knowledgeable team to best stream your event! Also, there’s a good chance someone in your organization has an established relationship with a church or place of worhship.

In Your Office and/or Boardroom:

You have the space, might as well use it! This option is great to help bring your supporters into where “all of the magic happens!” Especially great if you have a fun open air-space to record. Don’t worry about cleaning it up too much, as you want to show off how hard your staff works on your mission!
